Jay is a pilot and a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor.  He is from Venezuela and started diving in Venezuela in 2013.  Jay hails from the north coast of Venezuela and lived by the beach his  entire live.

His first dive was a Discover Scuba dive and he fell in love with all the marvelous and amazing things you can see when you are underwater. He was 32 years old and he remembers saying to himself that he would love to have a second career that brings him as much joy as flying, and  knew that scuba diving was it!

A year later, he got his Open water certification in Punta Cana (Dominican Republic) and continued diving.  In 2020, Jay decided to make his dreams come true, and got his Advanced Open Water and Rescue Diver Certifications. In 2022, he became a divemaster.  Finally, in August of 2022, Jay became an Open Water Scuba Instructor.   

His favorite place to dive is South Florida, Aruba and Venezuela. One of the most gratifying things for Jay is when he sees a student that goes from Open Water Diver to Dive Master or even on to instructor.  His favorite class to teach is Rescue Diver. You can see how far a diver can go and if he/she maturely reacts in front of the most serious and difficult situations, as well as how successful they are.
