PADI Advanced Open Water / Rescue Diver Combo
Refine your diving with Advanced Open Water and then move forward and take one of the most challenging, yet rewarding classes offered by PADI, Rescue Diver!!
In Advanced Open Water, you will complete five open water dives with your instructor. Deep and Underwater Navigation dives are required, while the other three dives are based on the common goals of the students in the class. Letts Dive recommends Peak Performance Buoyancy, DSMB, Boat, and Drift based on the conditions that you are most likely to dive in and around Florida. These dives will count towards a specialty certifications, should you wish to continue your education even further with more in-depth training!
You will continue your training with Rescue Diver course and here at Letts Dive we also include the O2 Emergency Provider course as part of Rescue Diver. You will learn to immediately recognize scuba diving illnesses treatable with emergency oxygen and be prepared to offer aid. The PADI Rescue Diver course prepares you to deal with dive emergencies, minor and major, using a variety of techniques. Through knowledge development and rescue exercises, you learn what to look for and how to respond. During rescue scenarios, you put into practice your knowledge and skills. At the end of your training you will walk away with three certifications eCards!
If you don't have Emergency First Response Primary & Secondary Care (First Aid and CPR w/AED) you will need to obtain that course prior (or in conjunction with your Rescue course). That course is scheduled as the first day of the Rescue class for those who need it.
