PADI Digital Underwater Photographer

Underwater photography is one of the most popular diving specialties, and with so many underwater cameras to choose from, it has become easier and more fun than ever to capture images of your underwater scuba adventures. The PADI Digital Underwater Photographer course gets you going quickly, whether you use a point-and-shoot camera or a sophisticated DSLR like the pros.

Class will take place at the Blue Heron bridge near West Palm Beach.  Diving will take place during high tide.

Thursday preceding weekend dives : Meet at Letts Dive @ 7pm for camera orientation

Dive #1 : Saturday times to be determined by tide table

Meet at 9am on Sunday to edit photos from the dive on Saturday

Dive #2 : Sunday times to be determined by tide table

There will be a prize for best picture! It will be displayed on the Letts Dive!! website, along with Pearce's website.  You will win an enlarged photo, mounted to hang on your wall!

Commute: The drive to West Palm Beach is about four hours. Divers will be responsible for providing their own transportation.

Suggested Lodging: Letts Dive suggests Red Roof PLUS, Travelodge, Super 8, Holiday Inn Express.  There are all of these, as well as many other hotels in proximity to the Blue Heron Bridge.

PADI (Junior) Open Water Divers who are at least 10 years old are eligible to take the Digital Underwater Photographer course.

Because underwater photography is also popular with snorkelers, there is an option for avid snorkelers and skin divers to complete the course.
